Crow Series
In the Crow Series paintings, the city realigns with the properties and qualities of paint. Layers of paint capture the narrative between reality and fiction within a shifting urban environment.
The Crow Series film from which the stills are derived is born directly from the city streets of New York. The painted stills create a distinct intersection between art and life. Through video and paint, Wood-Brown creates a hybrid of document and gesture.
