Migrant Series

Jo Wood-Brown explores the jewel-like qualities of vibrant color to arrive at depth and stillness. She addresses the transitory nature of a moment, a process of discovery in the act of painting.

The painted stills explore a transitory gesture as it relates to picking a crop and pairs it with how that event migrates into something else.

The paintings explore migrant workers as something that exists between two states reflected and actual.
